Belarus: Progress of field work, update: May 28, 2021

Zerno.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus, that as of May 28, 2021 all spring crops sown at 2386.1 thousand hectares or 97.4% of the plan of 2450.1 thousand hectares (last year on the same date - 2573.0 thousand hectares, 100.9%). Corn sown at 1075.0 thousand hectares or 95.0% of the plan of 1131.1 thousand hectares (last year on the same date - 1203.7 thousand hectares, 105.9%). Maize for silage sown at 802.3 thousand hectares or 93.1% of the plan of 861.8 thousand hectares (last year on the same date - 907.9 thousand hectares, 104.6%). Buckwheat sown at 28.5 thousand hectares or 94.0% of the plan of 30.3 thousand hectares (last year on the same date - 24.0 thousand hectares, 105.1%).
