Belarus: Progress of field work, update: April 30, 2021

Zerno.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus, that as of April 30, 2021 early spring grain crops and legumes (excluding corn, buckwheat and millet) sown at 752.7 thousand hectares or 102.1% of the plan of 737.1 thousand hectares (last year on the same date - 109.1 thousand hectares, 104. 8%). All spring crops sown at 1310.7 thousand hectares or 52.5% of the plan of 2497.5 thousand hectares (last year on the same date - 241.9 thousand hectares, 53.8%). Corn sown at 214.3 thousand hectares or 18.4% of the plan of 1167.2 thousand hectares (last year on the same date - 52.0 thousand hectares, 25.3%). Corn for grain sown at 104.0 thousand hectares or 37.8% of the plan of 275.0 thousand hectares (last year on the same date - 27.7 thousand hectares, 69.2%). Maize for silage sown at 110.3 thousand hectares or 12.4% of the plan of 892.2 thousand hectares (last year on the same date - 24.3 thousand hectares, 14.7%).
