Zerno.Ru was informed in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus, that as of May 04, 2021 early spring grain crops and legumes (excluding corn, buckwheat and millet) sown at 764.1 thousand hectares or 103.7% of the plan of 737.1 thousand hectares (last year on the same date - 817.9 thousand hectares, 95%). All spring crops sown at 1449.8 thousand hectares or 58.1% of the plan of 2497.5 thousand hectares (last year on the same date - 1945.4 thousand hectares, 76.0%). Corn sown at 313.9 thousand hectares or 26.9% of the plan of 1167.2 thousand hectares (last year on the same date - 691.2 thousand hectares, 61.1%). Corn for grain sown at 162.3 thousand hectares or 59.0% of the plan of 275.0 thousand hectares (last year on the same date - 279.6 thousand hectares, 100.6%). Maize for silage sown at 151.6 thousand hectares or 17.0% of the plan of 892.2 thousand hectares (last year on the same date - 411.6 thousand hectares, 48.2%).
