Export and import of barley in January - May 2019 (FCS)

According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Zerno.ru, in May 2019 Russia has imported 0.4 thousand tons of barley (HS code 1003). According to the results of 5 months of barley import campaign, Russia has shipped in 1.5 thousand tons (in 2018 - 6.1 thousand MT; in 2017 - 72.0 thousand MT).
In the period January - May 2019, the main countries exporters of barley to Russia were KAZAKHSTAN (36.56%) and DENMARK (27.51%).

In May 2019 Russia has exported 259.7 thousand tons of barley. According to the results of 5 months of barley export campaign, Russia has shipped out 1456.9 thousand tons (in 2018 - 1915.8 thousand MT; in 2017 - 874.7 thousand MT).
In the period January - May 2019, the main countries importers of barley from Russia were IRAN (23.11%) and JORDAN (22.32%).
