Export and import of wheat in January - December 2019 (FCS)

According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Zerno.ru, in December 2019 Russia has imported 18.8 thousand tons of wheat (HS code 1001). According to the results of 12 months of wheat import campaign, Russia has shipped in 183.3 thousand tons (in 2018 - 314.8 thousand MT; in 2017 - 268.3 thousand MT).
In the period January - December 2019, the main countries exporters of wheat to Russia were KAZAKHSTAN (99.02%) and POLAND (0.37%).

In December 2019 Russia has exported 2647.6 thousand tons of wheat. According to the results of 12 months of wheat export campaign, Russia has shipped out 31815.0 thousand tons (in 2018 - 43336.3 thousand MT; in 2017 - 33015.4 thousand MT).
In the period January - December 2019, the main countries importers of wheat from Russia were TURKEY (22.11%) and EGYPT (19.26%).
