Ukraine: Progress of spring field work, update: May 21, 2020

As of May 21, 2020, total area of 14 867.8 thousand ha or 95.5% of the plan (15 563.9 thousand ha) was sown with spring grain, legumes and industrial crops, Zerno.Ru was informed by the Information and Analytical Service of the Agro-Industrial Complex of Ukraine. Sowing of barley, wheat, peas, oat, sugar beet is completed. The crops sown (% of forecast):

• buckwheat - 38.1 thousand ha (50.8%)
• soy - 1255.9 thousand ha (86.8%)
• grain maize - 5254.3 thousand ha (97.5%)
• sunflower - 5898.9 thousand ha (95.2%)
• millet - 40.8 thousand ha (52.3%)
