Ukraine: Progress of spring field work, update: May 28, 2020

As of May 28, 2020, total area of 15 145.5 thousand ha or 97.3% of the plan (15 563.9 thousand ha) was sown with spring grain, legumes and industrial crops, Zerno.Ru was informed by the Information and Analytical Service of the Agro-Industrial Complex of Ukraine. Sowing of barley, wheat, peas, oat, sugar beet is completed. The crops sown (% of forecast):

• buckwheat - 55.3 thousand ha (73.7%)
• soy - 1345 thousand ha (93%)
• grain maize - 5326.1 thousand ha (98.8%)
• sunflower - 5986.8 thousand ha (96.6%)
• millet - 53.2 thousand ha (68.2%)
