Export and import of wheat in January - December 2018 (FCS)

According to the analysis of customs declarations of FCS conducted by Zerno.ru, in December 2018 Russia has imported 38.5 thousand tons of wheat (HS code 1001). According to the results of 12 months of wheat import campaign, Russia has shipped in 315.7 thousand tons (in 2017 - 269.1 thousand MT; in 2016 - 592.5 thousand MT).
In the period January - December 2018, the main countries exporters of wheat to Russia were KAZAKHSTAN (73.24%) and UKRAINE (26.46%).

In December 2018 Russia has exported 3773.2 thousand tons of wheat. According to the results of 12 months of wheat export campaign, Russia has shipped out 43338.2 thousand tons (in 2017 - 33017.1 thousand MT; in 2016 - 25327.6 thousand MT).
In the period January - December 2018, the main countries importers of wheat from Russia were EGYPT (21.13%) and TURKEY (11.46%).
